PASTOR OLUWAFUNMILAYO ADEOLA ALABI

Our beloved Oluwafunmilayo Adeola Alabi (popularly known as PFA) was born on 27th of November 1979 to late Engineer Emmanuel Oluwafemi and Mrs. Winifred Abimbola Awoyinfa who was a school teacher at the time.

She was born at St Nicholas Hospital in Lagos.

Her Education

She had her early education at Chrisland Primary School, Ikeja and her secondary school at Federal Government Girl's College Sagamu in Ogun State. As a result of her academic prowess and excellent conduct, she became the Food Prefect in 1995/1996.

Her Salvation Story (As Written By Her on https://wikisozo.com)

I got born again in 1991 whilst in secondary school. I gained admission into FGGC Sagamu that same year and, being raised in a Christian family that devotedly attended an Anglican Church, I made it a point of duty to be present at my school chapel services every Friday and Sunday.

The message of “Hell is real” was very prevalent in those days, so I gave my life to Christ out of fear. Because I didn’t quite understand the message of salvation, I responded to the Altar Call nine more times (practically every Sunday) until God used one of the visiting ministers to my school to explain to me that I didn’t have to give my heart to Christ every time I remembered something wrong I had done. Rather, I had to trust in the fact that since I had given my life to Christ, His Righteousness was sufficient for me, and God always saw Christ in my stead - that was so liberating!

After this, I became confident of my salvation and although I didn’t know a lot (several ministers came to preach in my school and most times they dwelt on doctrinal issues rather than teach the undiluted Word of God), I started sharing what I knew l, and to my greatest surprise, many of the people I reached out to gave their lives to Christ and started coming to Church.

In 1994, a friend of mine gained admission into my school as a transfer student and introduced me to Christ Embassy whilst we were on holiday. Boy! I cannot literally describe what Christ Embassy did to my faith but I was on fire, preaching with my friends in buses, schools, lessons, markets, streets - everywhere!

We turned our catchment right side up and we were the peer pressure of our time. This went on until I gained admission into University. With a bigger platform, we did the same things - we went, saw, conquered and won, and here I am today, still standing but most of all, eternally grateful to Pastor Chris for teaching me God’s Word so I can understand.

Blessed be God!"
